This really is the best-yet film doc on Kleiber. I find the oboist, Klaus König, the most compelling. He really GETS Carlos, and especially (look how alert his face!) the wonderful metaphor and humor with which CK always approached the music.
I believe it impossible to understand how Kleiber got the results he did, and obtained the insights he conveyed, if one does not understand the humor through which he survived and enchanted.
This film comes the closest I know to grasping that fact. So VERY well done.
